Cargo Bike Documentary
Posted on 04. Oct, 2011 by Melanie Colavito in Video
Cargo bikes are becoming more and more commonplace, especially in the United States, where 10 years ago, they were virtually non-existent. Make no mistake, a transportation revolution is truly occurring. Liz Canning think so too, and she is making a crowdsourced documentary to prove it:
Together we will make an authentic, crowd-sourced document of a cultural revolution in progress: a tribute to the power of bikes, community and the internet.
If you want to join in the fun and highlight how cargo bikes have changed your own life or the place where you live, you can become a co-director by watching the trailer below and contacting Liz. I think this sounds like a blast, and I hope to put together a submission as soon as I can ride again! Enjoy!

Just the first few scenes – waking up, kids walking across a toy laden floor, the pouring of coffee – were done in such an artistic way. I can’t wait to see the entire documentary.

A stellar find, Melanie. This should be a very fine film – and one think I will participate in.
