The start of this year’s Tour de France is the city of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. In the video below, you can see a really interesting example of using utility cycling and sport cycling together in positive ways to promote cycling in general. The video depicts many different kinds of cyclists who all come together to watch and celebrate the Tour de France. I personally think this is a great way to market cycling. Enjoy!

I love the video, but wonder why no one (with the exception of the the cops and stunt riders) are wearing helmets?
I think responsible bicycle marketing should include helmets as part of a bicycling lifestyle.

Very few people in the Netherlands use bike helmets because it is so much safer to ride there. In fact, less than 1% use helmets.
